Victorian Lace Today Handspun Scarf-start

Normally, I stack the handspun up on a table and let it languish, unknitted for a long time. This time, I dove right in, and began knitting with something I had just spun!

Victorian Lace Today, p.82-83 a lace scarf with a border from Weldon's 1886.

Just a start...but I forgot how much I love knitting lace!

Lovely! The shading is beautiful, I simply adore the way the color came out. Lace is impressive all by itself, but handspun lace is incredible.

It's looking very lovely. I knit that pattern and it works really well with a variegated yarn.

Oh wow! You really got on that green! It was probably still warm from the wheel wasn't it?

You are braver than I, because I have yet to knit anything substantial from my handspun. I kept saying I'd spin for, and design my own lace shawl.. I'm such a wuss.

That will be so gorgeous when it's done. The varigation will work so well with that pattern.
