Socks for Nate

Another pair down...so many more I'd like to knit! Knitting socks is a great thing. Even the simple, plain ones like these are a fun knit.

From Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock in Mineshaft. A great color for boys if you're looking for one.

Simple, cuff down stockinette socks. My favorite kind right now. I actually like my plain ones more than my fancy ones (yeah, I'm strange, I know!).

Just the thing to keep his feet warm this winter.

I like them plain too. Well esp. for guys!

But all of these man-socks people are completing--I'm going to have to make my husband some now!

Lovely socks for your guy! Yep, I always make basic socks, too. Mine have a 2 X 2 rib on the leg and are otherwise completely plain. Everyone loves getting hand-made socks.

They are very lovely. And yes, plain stockinette can be very beautiful.

Lovely job on them!! I think that variegated yarns look better just plain knitted. Nice to see that colorway knit up too! :)

Plain socks let the yarn shine :0

They're great - very manly colours.

Those look great! You've inspired me to move away from the fancy schmancy and knit some straight up. :)
