I still knit!

The thing is, it takes me much longer to knit something than it does to spin something. So, in the interim between knitting FOs and other post-worthy things, you get lots of spinning. Though I did finish a pair of socks for Nate last night, and cast on for a potential Christmas gift.

I've been working on a simple lace scarflette with this handspun Suri llama and some Knitpicks Shadow.

A simple diamond stitch pattern, and a cool stripe sequence. The two colors remind me of Blackberry ice cream with dark chocolate chunks. Back in college, there was a brand called Portofino that made the best. I never came home from the store without it....

I think I'll cast on for another pair of socks tonight (to have a pair always going)...for me this time....three yarn options...vote in the comments, and I'll pick the yarn with the most votes:

A) Handspun sockyarn, the blue-green-purple blend of superwash Merino.

B) Trekking XXL that I bought last weekend...

C) Sweet Georgia handpainted in the Fondant colorway.

You pick! I knit! click the names above if you want to see pics.

I'm voting C because it makes me think of the different-colored sprinkles on top of ice cream.

Ok, most things make me think of ice cream.

Trekking is my vote...I think it's my favorite colorway of Trekking. :)

Oh, the handspun for sure! It's such an amazing color! Not that the others aren't pretty, but that blue and green mix just called to me. Oh, wait, I think I misunderstood it - it actually said "Don't knit me - send me to Trillian". My bad. =)

sweet georgia - it says summer. your handspun is gorgeous to. make that instead (trillian doesn't need it. I do, but if I can't have it, then you better knit it up fast before one of us comes over there and adopts it)

Sweet Georgia! Why? Because you always pick "C" when in doubt and to complement Penny--it reminds me of cake with that name...I've always wanted to make a cake with a fondant covering.

I love your llama lace scarf! (I made one of those with stripes of llama and fun fur....hee hee...almost a travesty to the llama, I know this now!)

(Sharp gasp) Oooh! The Trekking! I saw a pair of socks knit in that colorway recently, and they were so very, very beautiful.

I vote C. It looks the most like summer.

Those are HARD choices. I vote for Trekking, cuz it's funky. The other two I would pet every night and let them sleep in the bed.

The handspun is my favorite, but for me, not for you ;)

Yeah, I vote Sweet Georgia. I'm loving the handspun, the colors are just gorgeous, but yeah...I'm liking ice cream right now too.

Of course, if it were cold out right now, you'd get a completely different answer.

The handspun is beautiful. I say play with that next.

Oooh Awwwh too beautiful. It's got to be the HandSpun. I'd take it home, pet it and probably even kiss it [but maybe not after it was socks]

The handspun and mordant are scrumptious, but if it were me, I would want to savor them some more on the skein. The Trekking 100 is a fun, fast knit that looks great in stockinette or something equally simple, so that is my vote.

oooh oooh handspun - please handspun!! Please! Let me at least live vicariously through you to see some handspun socks being knit up - I did buy some superwash, so I might have some handspun socks in my future too!

BECAUSE I SAID SO!

Definitely the handspun!! It is gorgeous, and it looks like water, and water is cold, which is something I think we all could use more of right about now... :)

At 3:50 PM, Blogger Stariel said...

I vote for the handspun as well!

At 7:00 PM, Blogger Sarah said...

I say the Sweetgeorgia, so I can see what it looks like knitted up!

(I almost bought that color, but changed back to Kissed at the last minute.)

Trekking! The colorway is just so spectacular.

I couldn't resist the handspun if it was me - it's luscious!
