Spin Span Spun.

Two doggies at play
Their fur in the way
Was brushed from their manes
So yarn could be made!

The single was plied
In a blink of an eye
With cat food and fluff
And other fun stuff!

The yarn how it twists
Like rainbow-y mists!

It lilts in the breeze
Awaiting the bees
Who will come to inspect
What flowers they've met?

The kitties asleep
No yarn at thier feet...
But tomorrow they'll get a lovely yarn treat!

For this yarn is for them
And the fun of the game
To play with the fiber
No one can complain!

(stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow. A new breed of [ph]art yarn has been born)

Hmm...the pup's aren't miffed that their hair is being co-mingled with kitty food? Hee hee! I love it! How long did it take you to string the cat food??

You and your pet spinning it's contageous! I'm sleeping on the couch til my bed comes--and my longer haired cat was sleeping on my chest a few nights ago. I woke up from a dream where I was trying to pre-draft her fur while it was still on her....!

Oh my. Now that is some special yarn.

I'd be worried about the hairball from hell though. If the cats play with it and eat it...I dunno. Wow.

Wow! Definitely MY idea of art yarn, and probably the kitty's too;) I'm inspired! I can't wait to collect enough of my Pyrenees pup's fur to spin!

not only would it knit upnicely into a sweater, but then when you need a snack you can chew your arm! in a completely non-cannibal way. i'm not judging cannibals, i'm just saying....

It speaks to me of the inherent disconnect between the canine and feline urges in all of us....

You are an awesome PhArter! Makes me so, so, so sad I shaved my two majorly shedding furballs (Border Collie and Pomeranian) for the summer.
